A selection of images from a couple of current sketchbooks, I finding myself drawing a lot of people on masks and half man-animal characters, these days, I might consider incorporating them to some sort of coherent narrative.
Stumbled across some slightly older photos - some or portraits taken in Paris others were part of the experimentation leading up to the imagery for my final major project (see older posts)
I appear and helped with another animation by Ana Stefaniak, required lots of standing still and jumping to put post it notes on high places. The animation is partly shot in the UK but the bulk of it was done in Poland
One of the previous uploads is also being featured but these are the set of images which will be making up part of my exhibition. All based on charactors from christmas on mars and directly reference stills taken from the film.
The back drops for the drawn images are taken from a series of photoshoots based on the theme of creating a scifi B-Movie and feature heavy use of projection and some authenic b-movie style acting. All were then put through photoshop and obliterated beyond recognition thus giving a multi textural image.
It does tend to be a very labour intensive way of working but I do tend to find the final output to be quite pleasing and it's fun to do.
Currently Part of my final major project for Uni here is some of the initial artwork designs looking at referencing and reinterperating scenes from christmas on mars
Just Finished a small sketchbook so I've decided to scan in a seclection of piece in thier raw state. I'll add some others later when I've finished with them on photoshop.
